Just like other coupler-repeaters, this unit helps X10 signals cross the two separate 120V legs of power found in most homes. This X10 coupler-repeater is similar to a non-amplified signal bridge, but with the added ability to regenerate an X10 signal and blast it out both legs of electricity simultaneously. Provided there is at least 100mV of incoming signal, the unit will boost the outgoing signal to 5-7 volts across, depending on the impedance of the home. An LED will blink when X10 signals are detected and repeated to let you know it's operational.
