The PRO-100 is a stand-alone solution designed for easy installation and ultimate reliability. The unit is small, silent, includes no moving parts, consumes very little power (20 watts) and may be mounted in a structured wiring cabinet. A full range of ports allows easy connection to a wide range of hardware including powerline and wireless devices, thermostats, security systems, infrared controller and multi-function/digital I/O controllers. Additional ports allow easy configuration via computer keyboard, mouse and monitor or via LAN or WAN

Reliability
The PRO-100 was designed to be the most reliable home controller available. The unit is free from any moving parts. There is no hard drive and no cooling fan to break down. An embedded operating system provides the most reliable software platform.

Web Based Management
The system is managed using any web browser. This allows for easy configuration on or off site. Remote access to the unit offers the ability to remotely manage the unit without traveling to the client site. Easily add/change schedules or troubleshoot issues from your office!

Mechanical Design
The PRO-100 has a very small footprint (11”wide x 7” deep x 2” high) and can be installed or mounted in a variety of locations. Since the unit is fan-less, it can be installed in cabinets or other areas with limited ventilation.

Customizable Software
The embedded system software is totally customizable, including the user interface. An< API (Application Programming Interface Specification) is available that allows for the creation of custom software “plug-ins”. These plug-ins allow the software to support custom hardware. The system also includes a scripting interface that supports the most popular scripting languages including VBScript, JavaScript, Perl and VB.NET. Creating scripts is a powerful way to add custom functionality to the system and provides an easy means of sending binary or ASCII commands to serial devices. The user interface and custom interfaces are built and modified using simple web (HTML) technologies.

Remote access
The entire system can be monitored and controlled from the web. Users can check on their homes when they are away at work or on vacation. This is an excellent solution for vacation homes or remote dealer support.

Text-To-Speech
The best text-to-speech engines allow for whole house announcements that can be easily understood because they use real human voices. This can be used for announcing incoming phone calls, motion at the front door, news, weather, etc. Announcements can also be sent to other computers in the home.

Voice Recognition
Any computer in the home can be used to control the system using voice, or with HomeSeer Phone voice recognition control is as far away as the nearest telephone.
