The AMP-701 is an addressable (AML) normally closed (NC) contact input module that connects to the 2-wire addressable polling loop of the PC4020 or PC5100 module. The 2-wire loop provides both power and communication.
The AMP-701 has three alarm input terminals to which an external device can be connected. The terminals monitor alarm, tamper and trouble states. Use only devices with NC dry contact outputs.
Addressable burglary and fire detectors cannot be connected to the same addressable loop unless the burglary detectors are isolated from the fire detectors using an AML-770 or AMX-400 module.
