Scene Lighting -
Scenes allow you to control multiple lights, rooms or even the whole home with a single command. All member lights will ramp to your independently desired levels at your chosen ramp rate(s). Because the SwitchLinc Dimmer can be a member of more than 400 scenes (i.e. "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc.), you'll be able to launch various mood lighting scenarios with a single button press. These are elegant features usually found only in systems costing tens of thousands of dollars and requiring extensive rewiring of your home.

Adjustable Fade Rate -
You can adjust the rate at which the light turns on or off, also known as the ramp rate. For example, you may want the light in the stairwell to turn on instantly so you can see where you're walking. Conversely, you may want the light in the master bathroom to ramp up in a soft, gentle fashion so you're not blinded in the middle of the night. The ramp rate is adjustable between 0.1 seconds and 9 minutes (for a simulated sunrise or sunset).

Dimmable -
You can adjust the brightness level locally by pressing and holding the top or bottom of SwitchLinc Dimmer. You can also adjust the brightness remotely by sending it dims and brights or by sending it a Preset Dim command.

Brightness Indicator Bar -
An elegant brightness bar of 8 LEDs indicates the current brightness of the lights being controlled. This can be exceptionally helpful when it is difficult to see the light being controlled (e.g. outside or behind closed doors). LED color change out kit is available in four colors: red, blue, amber, and green.

Easy to Install and Set Up -
SwitchLinc Dimmer wires in like a standard wall switch, with an additional connection to a neutral wire.

Dimensions -
SwitchLinc Dimmer's depth is now 1/3 smaller than similar switches making installation easy in even small junction boxes.

Compatibility -
SwitchLinc Dimmer is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals and not X10.

Status Confirmation -
You can poll the status of SwitchLinc Dimmer for an instant status report, including brightness level. This feature is essential when you need to know if the device being controlled is on or off, especially when you are controlling it via the web or telephone.

Create Virtual 3 & 4-Way Circuits & Control Other Devices -
SwitchLinc Dimmer allows you to customize your lighting setup no matter how your house is wired. Install SwitchLinc Dimmer without connecting a load, cross-link it to another SwitchLinc Dimmer and you've created a virtual 3-Way circuit. To move a switched outlet without rewiring the circuit, simply replace your switch with SwitchLinc Dimmer and plug a LampLinc V2 into the desired outlet.

3- & 4-Way Ready -
Simply add more SwitchLinc Dimmers to build a 3-way circuit, add two of them to build a 4-way circuit, add three for 5-way, etc.

Double Tap -
Double tap of top brings light to full on fast while a double tap of the bottom turns lights off fast.

Low Voltage/Ceiling Fan Control -
SwitchLinc Dimmer can control low voltage halogen (e.g. track) or other low voltage lights. (Note: works with most magnetic and dimmable electronic transformers.) Also, SwitchLinc Dimmer can control your ceiling fan. (Note: some motors may produce a subtle humming sound.)

Power Failure Features -
All SwitchLinc Dimmer settings are stored in static memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally SwitchLinc Dimmer will return to its last brightness level upon a power restore.

Note:
If the SwitchLinc V2 Dimmer is installed in a double- or triple-gang application with additional dimmers, some power degradation can be expected. Because of the heat generated by the SwitchLinc V2 Dimmer, up to 200 watts should be subtracted from the maximum allowable wattage for each extra dimmer in the j-box. For example, a SwitchLinc V2 Dimmer set in a double-gang box with another dimmer should only be set to control an 400-watt lamp, and a SwitchLinc V2 set in a triple-gang box with two additional dimmers should only be set to control a 200-watt lamp. This would apply to any dimmer — INSTEON, Leviton, X10, or any other brand. Relay-type switches, companion (3-way) switches, or KeypadLincs without loads will not have this effect, since they don't generate the heat that dimmers generate.
