Scene Lighting -
Scenes allow you to control multiple lights, rooms or even the whole home with a single INSTEON command. All member lights will ramp to your independently desired levels at your independently chosen ramp rate(s). Because the SwitchLinc V2 Relay can be a member of up to 417 INSTEON scenes and up to 256 X10 scenes (i.e. "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc.), you'll be able to launch various mood lighting scenarios with a single button press. These are elegant features usually found only in systems costing tens of thousands of dollars many of which require extensive rewiring of your home.

Reliable -
SwitchLinc V2 Relay is INSTEON compatible, the most reliable home networking technology available. INSTEON is dual band so signals travel both over the homes electrical wires as well as via radio frequency (through the air) creating a redundant communications network. Each INSTEON device acts as a repeater creating what is known as a mesh network. Unlike other new technologies, ALL INSTEON devices are repeaters — compare to other technologies where only the expensive "advanced controllers" act as repeaters. All INSTEON messages contain error detection code so they don't "turn on" accidentally. Any INSTEON device sending a message must get confirmation that it was received or it will automatically retry to make sure the signal gets through — every time.

Fast -
INSTEON is so fast that a human cannot detect a delay. It takes less than 5 1/100ths of a second for a signal to get to its destination in most cases.

Simple -
Linking INSTEON devices is easy. To link a ControLinc to a SwitchLinc V2 Relay you simply press and hold the ON button of your choice on the ControLinc for 10 seconds (it will beep), you then simply press and hold the ON (top of paddle) on the SwitchLinc for 10 seconds. You can now control the SwitchLinc V2 Relay from the ControLinc. If you want to control the SwitchLinc V2 Relay from another device you simply repeat the procedure from that device. You can also control other devices from your SwitchLinc V2 Relay — making it a controller as well as a controllee. To create a controller link you simply press and hold the top of the SwitchLinc V2 Relay paddle for 10 seconds, then press and hold the ON (or set button) on the device you wish to control.

Thin and Easy to Install -
Other remote control switches are 50% thicker, making them a challenge to fit into standard electrical boxes. Each SwitchLinc V2 Relay's wires are labeled for easy identification and connections.

Built with a Quieter Relay -
Because the SwitchLinc V2 Relay is built with a much quieter relay than most remote control ON/OFF switches, it has a click that's more than 80% quieter than traditional relay switches. This allows you to remotely control lights and other non-dimmable devices without waking up the baby, annoying other family members, or sending your cat fleeing across the room. The click of the internal relay is barely audible.

Fully X10 Ready -
SwitchLinc V2 Relay is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals and not X10.

Generates Less Heat -
Unlike the triac-based switches, SwitchLinc V2 Relay uses a hard-contact relay to control the load. The other switches use a semiconductor (called a triac) that absorbs about two volts of power and dissipated the heat it through the front of the switch. By using a relay, the switch runs cooler and full voltage gets to the load.

SwitchLinc V2 Relays wire in like a standard wall switch, with an additional connection to a neutral wire.

Dimensions -
SwitchLinc V2 Relay's depth is now 1/3 smaller than similar switches making installation easy in even small junction boxes.

Create Virtual 3 & 4-Way Circuits & Control Other Devices -
SwitchLinc V2 Relay allows you to customize your lighting setup and create 3, 4 and 5 way circuits no matter how your house is wired. Simply install the first SwitchLinc as if it were a standard, 2-way circuit. Then, install a 2nd without connecting a load, cross-link it to the first SwitchLinc and you've created a virtual 3-Way circuit. No traveler is required so this 2nd SwitchLinc can be installed anywhere in the home. The 2nd SwitchLinc uses INSTEON to control the first SwitchLinc, instead of the traveler. Because of INSTEON's superior speed, you'll never know if you are touching the 1st or 2nd SwitchLinc - and the LEDs on both units will track the accurate on or off status - something that wasn't possible prior to SwitchLinc V2. To move a switched outlet without rewiring the circuit, simply replace your switch with SwitchLinc and plug a LampLinc V2 into the desired outlet.

13 Amp Capacity -
Maximum load is 13-amps for resistive loads, 480-watts for incandescent and inductive loads.

Power Failure Memory -
All SwitchLinc V2 Relay settings are stored in static memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, SwitchLinc will return to its last brightness level upon a power restore.

Paddle Color Options -
White and Ivory paddles are included with the SwitchLinc V2 Relay, but additional paddle colors are available and sold separately. Choose the color that best suits your room's decor:
Almond, Brown, Black, or Silver. Two paddles are included in each set.
