HAI 600W UPB™ Dimmer / Non-Dimming Switches

Control 600W Lighting Loads

The HAI UPB™ 600W Dimmer Switch is capable of storing up to 16 preset light levels to create powerful lighting scenes. The HAI UPB™ 600W Non-Dimming Switch is capable of controlling loads, such as fluorescent lights, that do not belong on a dimming switch.

If you wish to be able to dim your lighting load, select the 600W Dimmer model; otherwise, select the 600W Non-Dimming model. Note that the 600W Dimming switch is capable of being set to a 600W Non-Dimming switch and vice-versa.

About HAI Lighting Control (HLC)
HLC Products work as stand-alone or with a Home Control System. An HAI home control system has the ability to change your light settings by the time of day, a set schedule, by the triggering of events (including motion), via a telephone call, Touchscreen, Smartphone, or by a computer connected to the Internet. To discover more about lighting control with an HAI home control system click here.

All HLC products are UL Listed and use Generation III Universal Powerline Bus (UPB™) – a digital communications standard for lighting and home control that ensures superior reliability. UPB™ has been extensively tested and researched in residential environments and found to be 99.9 percent reliable. UPB™ works over existing wires in a home and does not require new wiring.

Easier to Install
HAI 600W switches have been engineered with less depth than competitor products; consequently, HAI 600W switches are easier to install.

Configuration Software
When used with an Omni family or Lumina family home control system HLC products automatically configure themselves, and outside software is not required.

HAI offers HAI UPB™ UPStart Configuration software for professionals who desire to make advanced changes to HAI's default setup. It will allow you to change the mode of a Dimmer Switch to be Non-Dimming or vice-versa. This software also allows you to change the colors on the switch's LED and the rate that it brightens to fully on or dims to fully off.

Requirements / Recommendations
600W Switches require a neutral (white) connection wire.

If you are using an HAI home control system with HLC switches, you must install a UPB™ PIM.

HAI recommends that every HAI Lighting Control (HLC) installation include a Phase Coupler.

To use the HAI Upstart Configuration software you must install a UPB™ PIM and use a UPB™ PIM to computer cable to connect it to a computer.

De-rating
In three-gang installations these switches must be de-rated to 500W.
