Conveniently control an entire Z-Wave and/or Zipato system with the Zipato 7" Wall Tablet with Wall Station. You can mount the touchscreen tablet on a wall (required for standalone use), or leave it free to be carried around your home. Either way, this Android-based tablet with Wi-Fi and Z-Wave technology makes it easy to monitor your security system, control automated lights and appliances, and even manage your daily lifestyle! Home Automation Controls Because the Zipato Tablet has built-in Z-Wave technology, it can be used as a standalone Z-Wave controller, or as an add-on touchscreen control panel for the Zipato Zipabox. When used with the Zipabox, the Zipato Tablet communicates via Wi-Fi with your Zipato system to provide complete control over Zipato-connected devices. Scene functionality even allows you to save lighting/shade scenes and quickly activate them with the press of a scene button. Security Management You can also control and monitor your Z-Wave/Zipato security system from the Zipato Tablet. You can arm and disarm the system, view live video feeds from security cameras, and immediately send emergency alarms to the Zipato central monitoring station (subscription service required). The tablet also allows you to change security settings. You can add or delete authorized users, set passcodes for users, change the current time and time zone, and choose system sounds. Lifestyle Management In addition to providing controls for your automation and security system, the Zipato Tablet displays convenient information to enhance your everyday life. You can view news headlines, photos, and brief stories in a slideshow format. The tablet also displays a clock and weather reports for your chosen zip codes, including current conditions and a five-day forecast. Use the tablet to check traffic in your area as well. Driven by Google Maps, the tablet’s live map display allows you to add multiple locations, such as your home and work locations, so you can automatically see traffic between different places. When you’re not using the tablet, leave it in full-screen mode to display pictures from your Yahoo! Flickr account. This feature is especially useful when the tablet is mounted on a wall. Use the tablet as a controller AND a digital picture frame! NOTE: The Zipato Tablet can be used as a standalone Z-Wave controller only when attached to the included Wall Station, which houses the tablet’s Z-Wave module. The tablet can control Z-Wave modules without the Wall Station only when connected via Wi-Fi to a Zipato Zipabox.
